It launched! It's off the ground! This past Sunday (January 26th), we held our first service as Beacon Church West Edmonton Mall in the LovEdmonton Chapel.
We had a wonderful gathering where we were able to come together in worship, enjoy some great food, and discuss the peace that Jesus has for each one of us. In the end, we were able to pray for one another that we would experience that peace in each of our lives.
It is definitely a unique experience having church in a mall. The chapel has these big, open windows that anybody can look in and see what is going on. But there is something special about gathering and worshipping in a public space.
We have been hearing so many good stories about what God is doing in the mall, about people coming to Jesus and looking for real community. As we are just at the beginning of this new endeavour, we are believing for so many more of these amazing 'God stories'!
